Top 5 in Madrid: Gabrielle

If you don’t know what to do in Madrid or you need extra advice on what to visit, we have what you were looking for. Our intern Gabrielle suggests some places to go and have an amazing experience in town!

1. La Rollerie

When you feel like having some breakfast or lunch outside, La Rollerie is a very nice and cheap place to do it. La Rollerie has 4 locations in Madrid, but my favorite location is the one at Calle Atocha. They have a lot of options you can choose from, and the atmosphere in this place is great. Friendly staff and nice appereance. I highly recommend it!

2. Casa de Campo

Casa de Campo is a big, beautiful park in Madrid including a lake and an amusement park. When the sun is out, it is a great place to walk around and enjoy the nature. You can also go picknicking, ride a bike or having a drink next to the lake.

3. Círculo de Bellas Artes

If you want to experience the most beautiful view of Madrid, Círculo de Bellas Artes is the place to be. It is placed at Calle de Alcalá, near Retiro Park. For just 4 euros you can go to the rooftop and enjoy the view of Madrid. It is also possible to drink some Heineken beer and have something to eat.

4. The Hat’s Secret Rooftop Bar

Madrid determines some of the most unbelievable rooftop bars. My all-time favorite rooftop bar is The Hat, which is placed in Hostel The Hat near Plaza Mayor. It has a laid-back and calm atmosphere, which is great when you would like to relax and having a drink after a long week of working.

5. Centro Comercial Príncipe Pio

Centro Comercial Príncipe Pio is a huge shopping mall located at Paseo de la Florida. A very rare thing about this mall is the appereance from the outside, because back in the 19th century it used to be a train station. When it became a shopping center, they kept the architecture from the train station to give it an authentic look.  This mall includes a lot of stores, restaurants and a cinema. A great place to spend your day when it is a raining outside.

Have you been to these places? Which one do you like the most?
